Overview of the Rickshaw Run 2023
An adventure that brings together participants from across the globe to embark on a thrilling journey through India, driving auto rickshaws. With each rickshaw accommodating three participants, they navigate themselves and take turns behind the wheel, exploring India and encountering various Sewa projects along the way.
In December 2023, Rickshaw Run 2023 will witness 108 self-funded participants from around the world venturing from Chitrakoot to Kutch in 36 Rickshaws, covering over 2000km in just 12 days. This noble endeavor aims to raise funds and awareness for a remarkable cause. The Sewa UK Rickshaw Run 2023 (RR23) extends support to the refurbishment of a dental unit at Arogyadham in Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh, India.
This facility provides life-changing cleft and palate surgeries, either free or at highly affordable rates, benefitting the 500 villages in the vicinity. The building houses six dental surgeries on the first floor, along with a dental lab, an operation theatre, and essential waiting areas, offices, and washroom facilities on the ground floor. The impact of these surgeries extends beyond mere medical procedures, enabling children to integrate seamlessly into society without enduring any associated stigma.
